Service Description

This service addresses the common challenge of rapidly promoting software engineers into leadership roles without giving them formal education or experience in developing their leadership skills. It results in frustration for them as they rapidly become overwhelmed trying to coordinate all activities, and frustration for their team that finds little autonomy or growth in their role. This programme helps them ease into their leadership and find their tune. It blends some framing and learning guardrails while allowing them to explore their leadership identity within the new parameters of systemic leadership in digital knowledge work. The programmes are initially set for six months but can expand to yearly or multi-year programmes given the vastness of the topics. If you have more specific needs and require custom-designing the social circle schedule, we offer a service to do just this. Please look for this service as part of our Spirited Engagement category. Format of the Service: - Upon signing up for the service, we'll discuss with you the opportunities for leadership growth, - We would set the expectation of the programme and design an initial arch from available modules, and we would validate it with you, - We'll run an introduction session setting up the collaborative alliance and framing the topics, and will ask people to elect to take on "hot seats", i.e. when they will be bringing topics for discussion, - We'll then run six sessions using our techniques of circle facilitation, - The last session will also include a wrap, - We would discuss your interest in running longer programmes over 12 months and more. If you do not have the scale for operating circles of your own, please enquire as we can look to combine non-competitive businesses with shared circles and/or bulk onboard you on a public run of such circles.

Cancellation Policy

This booking is to establish the basis for the engagement of interest. During this initial meeting, we will discuss your needs and the suitability of the engagement. We will then produce a quote to proceed with the engagement. We will also schedule the engagement based on availability. This is especially important for multi-day engagements (e.g., strategy off-site, change increment design, etc.) or those that must be on a specific day (e.g., presentations). Best to talk early to avoid disappointment.
