Digital Thinking Curriculum
Intense training for graduate intakes and/or reskilling staff as part of a Digital/Agile Change
Service Description
As the ways of working rapidly evolve, organisations often take it for granted that new joiners and graduates will get along with it when they join. It is far from obvious, and unless the management has a thorough understanding and the time to mentor their staff, joiners will struggle, and performance will suffer. Unfortunately, most graduate programmes accommodate the ways of working rather poorly. They cover technical skills and a few "soft" skill development options but leave a big gap between those. This is an entry-level course that explores the essential elements of digital change. It complements hands-on tech training, familiarising people with teamwork, understanding the Agile SDLC, adopting flow principles and ensuring quality, etc. Training Outcomes: - Develop a better understanding of the digital business patterns to understand the value-add of their work, - Understand and experience new ways of working to operate effectively in an Agile team, - Appreciate the need to uphold quality and continuously engage in improving it, - Recognise complexity, make sense of situations and make better decisions in uncertain and changing contexts, - Be a collaborative team member. Training Approach: The training maximises back-of-the-room training concepts. Research has established that people learn best through social interaction and practice. For this reason, the training sessions use exercises in small breakout groups. We can run the training on your behalf with your graduate cohorts, or we can offer to train the trainers and license you to use this training with your in-house trainers. Please enquire to commission an in-house cohort. If you are interested in attending a public cohort, please see the availability of public cohorts in our Leadership Development section.
Cancellation Policy
This booking is to establish the basis for the engagement of interest. During this initial meeting, we will discuss your needs and the suitability of the engagement. We will then produce a quote to proceed with the engagement. We will also schedule the engagement based on availability. This is especially important for multi-day engagements (e.g., strategy off-site, change increment design, etc.) or those that must be on a specific day (e.g., presentations). Best to talk early to avoid disappointment.
