Agile Retro Excellence with Kaizen

Recalibrating the performance of retrospectives in Agile teams

Service Description

The retrospectives are a key element of good Agile working. Before Agile, Lean cultivated the concepts of Kaizen (which in Japanese means a change for the better). Toyota exemplified the power of enterprises that continually improve themselves by staying at the top of the automotive world for many decades. Services businesses and Tech, in general, have struggled to build genuine momentum with Kaizen. We help solve this shortfall by regrouping the teams and teaching them good, disciplined Kaizen practices. Format of the service: - Observation of the team dynamics during retrospectives, - Discussion with the team's leadership roles - Scrum Master, Product Owner, Lead Engineer, etc. - Review of how to create attention on improvements: Assessments, visualisation of the work and improvements, measures of performance, known problems, etc. and development of such artefacts if they do not exist. - Renew the format of the retrospective with the Scrum Master, - Visualisation tools and making use of those tools in the retrospective, - Prepare and run a couple of retrospectives with the ScrumMaster, - Observation and feedback, - The service would completed once retrospectives have improved and can be self-sustained. Upon booking the service, we discuss how we would meet the cadence of team sessions.

This booking is to establish the basis for the engagement of interest. During this initial meeting, we will discuss your needs and the suitability of the engagement. We will then produce a quote to proceed with the engagement. We will also schedule the engagement based on availability. This is especially important for multi-day engagements (e.g., strategy off-site, change increment design, etc.) or those that must be on a specific day (e.g., presentations). Best to talk early to avoid disappointment.
